Party Launches National Youth Empowerment Drive
The Secretary for Youth Affairs announced the launch of the National Youth Empowerment Drive at a packed rally in Gweru on Saturday, outlining an ambitious framework that will see the party invest in technical training, entrepreneurship grants, and agribusiness support across all 10 provinces.
The programme, which targets young people between the ages of 18 and 35, will be delivered through partnerships with established cooperatives and technical colleges. Initial funding of US$25 million has been secured through the party's investment arm.
Youth League Chairperson Comrade Tatenda Mhuriro said: "This is not a campaign promise. This is a contract with the youth of Zimbabwe. We will deliver measurable results, province by province, district by district."
Registration centres will open in all provincial capitals from next Monday. Applicants are encouraged to bring national identification documents and proof of residence.
